Otterly Fantastic!

*Update: neither I nor my coworker have the honor of being employed by the bovine industry. MU regrets the error and apologizes to secretaries everywhere. Also, this blogsy thing... how does it work?

Ohi! How's it going? Were you thinking to yourself that you haven't seen a good pun in ages?! Of course you were! Well, I am nothing if not obliging ... And thus, I present for your amusement this sweet duo of Lacy Sunshine otters for the latest challenge - not a square - with a little pun.
Ah, puns!
Lacy Sunshine Olive and Olivia ... Hey you can get the free if you ask nice!
I have used random scraps that I've had laying about my house to make up the card portion and the otters are colored with my copics on Gina K pure luxury paper. The flowers were handmade by yours truly - that is why they look so horrid. I saw some tutorials this past week online (I know one was by Kit and Clowder) and thought "I can do that!" Ha! Nailed it! ... (not). The flowers are made with tissue paper that I colored with copics and then made a little sewing knot to keep them together. That one that kinda looks like a poinsettia is from a spellbinders die and the round ones were just a bunch of sad circles I cut out. The little bubbly thing inside the faux poinsettia is a sticker by Jolee's Boutique, the ribbon is a scrap, and the shiny bits are from a card making kit I won once upon a time.

Each of the pieces of paper were attacked by my Vick Bantock (sp?) distressing dye and the green paper in the background was squished by my Cuttlebug so itd have embossed flowers on it. In addition, my pun-ny sentiment is embossing tape that has been passed through my Dymo Caption Maker. Love that thing!!! I think it gave the words so much character and really added a fun element to my card! I have a feeling it is going to be overused in the next couple days!

I'm going to give this card to a special quasi-coworker (it's complicated) because he just got accepted to do his medical residency. The best thing about this digi is that it's so unisex. I feel totally confident giving a guy my ugly flowered card with a pun and otters on it.
